Winter is upon us once again and as temperatures drop below 5 degrees it is important to remember that new lime work should not be left unprotected for at least one week after last application. Our top tip is to use a layer of carpet underlay draped just off the face of the work. This will help create a microclimate, reducing the possibility of frost damage (In sustained periods of cold weather working with lime mortars is not recommended). Heritage recently attended the annual Green Living Experience held this year in the pituresque grounds of Castlewellan Forest Park.

Overlooked by Castlewellan Castle, the setting couldn't have been better for the launch of our new earthBorn natural paint range.
